Job Title: Azure Cloud Engineer

Job Summary

As an Azure Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based systems for organizations. You will play a crucial role in helping organizations transition to cloud-based systems, ensuring efficient data storage and processing, and maintaining robust security measures. The ideal candidate will have experience in building secure, scalable, and compliant cloud infrastructures for various types of industries, including healthcare.

Responsibilities

  • Azure environment configuration:
    • points icon Design, implement, and manage the Azure environment to support the Data Lake architecture to ensure enterprise scalability and performance while following Microsoft's Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) and Well-Architected Framework.
    • points icon Build and maintain secure infrastructure for cloud data lake using Azure services and Databricks Lakehouse architecture.
    • points icon Establish best practices for multi-account architecture, networking, identity, and access management (IAM) within Azure. Establish secure connectivity between on-premises and cloud environments.
    • points icon Set up and manage Azure policies, blueprints, and resource hierarchies to ensure governance and cost optimization.
    • points icon Implement and maintain Infrastructure-as-a-Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep for Azure Landing Zone automation.
    • points iconDesign and implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure the reliability and security of the cloud infrastructure.
    • points iconOptimize infrastructure to support performance and cost efficiency across environments (development, staging, production).
  • Compliance
    • points icon Architect a highly secure infrastructure in compliance with industry standards. E.g., configure the environment in alignment with healthcare regulations and implement robust security mechanisms for PII/PHI data and other data privacy/data security standards.
    • points icon Implement HIPAA-compliant security controls and data governance frameworks. points icon Work closely with security teams to establish and implement data encryption, key management, and role-based access controls (RBAC) for data security.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience:
    • points icon 7+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, with at least 5 years focused on Azure.
    • points icon Expertise in cloud infrastructure security with a strong understanding of HIPAA compliance and PII/PHI data privacy/data protection.
    • points icon Proven experience in architecting and managing Azure environments for single/multi-tenant, large-scale enterprise applications.
    • points icon Experience with Databricks Lakehouse or similar big data solutions in Azure, and Azure services, including Azure AD, Azure Storage, Azure Security Center, Azure Policy, and Azure Networking.
    • points iconProficiency in configuring network security groups, firewalls, and identity management in Azure.
    • points icon Strong understanding of disaster recovery and backup solutions within Azure environments.
    • points icon Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud automation tools for deploying and managing infrastructure.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from tier-1 or tier-2 colleges.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities to interpret trends and patterns in complex datasets.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with team members.

Preferred Qualifications

Job Summary

As a Data Engineer, you will assist in the development, maintenance, and optimization of our data infrastructure. You will work closely with senior engineers and data scientists to ensure that our data systems are efficient, reliable, and scalable.

Responsibilities

  • points iconDatabase/data warehouse development: Strong understanding of SQL and designing efficient queries, conceptual understanding of tabular data model and its development, etc.
  • points iconPipeline development: Assist in building and maintaining data pipelines for etl (extract, transform, load) processes using various tools and techniques in Azure (data factory, data bricks, DevOps, and storage accounts) & snowflake environments.
